Thanks. It took a while for me to figure this out. A message popped up in the Dashboard portion of ThusNSuch along with instructions on how to comply. In the meantime, I noticed a Privacy Policy on other sites and thought it a good idea for my sites.

I feel less ignorant because it took YOU a bit to figure it out. 🙂 Things have gone a bit bonkers since Microsoft and Google were “exposed” on 60 Minutes. Quite Frankly, I expected a MUCH harder hit on Google from 60 Minutes than they received. #major disappointment.

I didn’t see the 60 Minutes show but Google and some of the other tech giants seem to think they can continue to operate unfettered.

I’ve recently seen a slew of my social media sites pop out new privacy policy statements, which I scan them briefly and move on. Then I noticed a few of those I follow sending an email regarding the GDPR compliance. Soon after, the WP suggestion that I establish a privacy policy (including instructions) popped up in the Dashboard my blog ThusNSuch.

Their wording was confusing and portions seemed to be more applicable to a blog that sells products and services, which mine does not.

I combined some the suggested wording and the wording used by another blogger because this stuff has to make sense to me before I publish it.

Since ThusNSuch is on WPs Business Plan, that’s probably the reason for the WP pop up.

The 60 Minutes episode turned out to be a DUD. Leslie Stahl, one who knows no Fear, waster a ten minute interview. And anyone who has actually tried to Communicate with Google as I have knows the Frustration of trying in Vain to find a phone number. I finally found one by going through the “Press Office” and after charming a Secretary I was able to get my problem partially solved…..but it took HOURS of my Time. By comparison, I can call Apple 🍎 and in less than 15 minutes I can have a small Country overthrown or the largest problem on Earth fixed.

I gave up Facebook long ago and have ONE post on Instagram…..Social Media needs a total Transformation…..and a Mandatory IQ Test should be given before anyone is allowed to post. 🙂 🍎

I agree with you about social media. It definitely needs an overhaul.
