Sitting by the Fire

ThusNSuch

While sitting by the warming fire
my cat purrs while on my lap
my mind rewinds through my past

A minute but a relevant speck on a map
blurred wavy lines between this and that
not to relive, rethink, or outlast

Some roads I’ve traveled
have become unraveled, but
that’s the life I know, live and love

My ode is to the celebration
upon reflecting upon my revelation
knowing life as a joy and not a foolish toy

While sitting by the warming fire
my cat purrs while on my lap
my mind rewinds through my past…
