August Gift

neath the sturgeon moon

plains curtained in burnished gold

behold the harvest

seasons come and seasons go

summer was moments ago

Such a nice tanka. I love the imagery. And yes, “summer was moments ago” !

With the ‘Dog Days of Summer’ upon us (or at least me) with a broken air conditioning unit… it seems that summer has an extended life! Hopefully the unit will be repaired today… though not soon enough as it will be in the afternoon when the heat of the day (if the rains do not come) has already made my day a slight misery.

Time is fleeting. Life fragile… May we continue to enjoy the humor and love life brings.

Oh, you poor thing. We’ve been in the mid to high 90s every day and I don’t know what I would do without A/C. I hope yours is repaired soon and thank you for the delightful last sentence of your comment. 😉
