Significance short-lived

a momentous jaunt

yet a trek to nowhere

disconcerted, we had

derring-do thoughts of

a castle in the sand,

our home sweet home,

one to call our own.

à la mode dreams to

take care of each other

in a non-mettlesome world

but, in the end,

we were just a moment

I love the idea of a ‘non-meddlesome world’. So nicely done. 🙂

So much I like about this poem, Eugi, and especially the underlying reminder that true love takes grit and real life will not be all roses.

I had one of those moments with my first beau… (or first few).
Thankfully I’ve got much better now 😉
Just had an anniversary – over four decades!

Happy Anniversary! And yes, I’ve had my share of memorable moments, as well.
