A Critterville tale

proudly perched up high

I spied this little critter

myself, I queried why

this critter in a tither

he’s eyein’ those strolling by

strewing around their litter

as the tale goes by and by

our sneaky pumpkin sitter

let out a warning cry

better clean up your litter

grumpy folk spewed their reply

best get off your perch lil critter

before it becomes pumpkin pie

and the moral to the story is there’s nothing better than autumn skies and pumpkin pie. Little critter prefers a dollop of whipped cream, please and thank you.

“What moistens the lip and what brightens the eye? What calls back the past like the rich pumpkin pie?” – John Greenleaf Whittier

  1. Now this one I understand. Yay for me. Nothing better than a nice slice of cold pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream.
