Soaring free

A magnificent and powerful bird of prey, the eagle boasts extremely keen eyesight giving it the advantage to spot potential prey from afar. The bald eagle with its impressive wingspan allows it to soar with amazing speed ready to swoop down on unsuspecting victims.

I had the pleasure of seeing bald eagles several times while living in Florida and also, when I was in Alaska on a cruise. And to set the record straight for these beautiful birds, they are not actually bald. They have white heads and tails with mainly a brown body.

Even though eagles are not distinguished for their hearing, they hear quite well so be careful what you say about their white head. 🙂
