the time came

then went away

while the clock ticks

its pendulum swings

a forever lullaby

from pretty little pills

some make you larger

some make you small

some do nothing at all

agos become todays

in visions without purpose

and life has no future

the mind slumbers

as sensations dance

til the break of dawn

awakened by a yawning sun

the addiction to addictions

like time in a bottle

The Saturday Symphony #23 (Addict)

Triversen Poetry – Each stanza equals one sentence.
Each sentence/stanza breaks into 3 lines (each line is a separate phrase in the sentence).
There is a variable foot of 2-4 beats per line.
The poem as a whole should add up to 18 lines (or 6 stanzas).

Check out the Triversen posted on Go Dog Go Cafe by Donna Matthews of The DJ Ranch and Slay The Chaos.
