I’m not an avid follower on Tumblr, however, it’s fun and full of artistic types and photographers. I mostly share my same works from my WordPress blogs. If you enjoy autumn, Tumblr has a slew of folks with those same interests. Oodles of photos of autumnal stuff that can take you into the season. Check it out! 518.6 million people seem to like it!

    1. I was shocked Tumblr has such a large following, Liz! I found out about Tumblr through WordPress when I first started my blog. You can set it up so your WP posts automatically share to Tumblr, same as Twitter.

      2. Liz, I don’t use Facebook so I can’t compare. There are hundreds of blogs like the one I have on Tumblr, and I must take more time to explore.

        I think it would be worthwhile to share your work on Tumbler. Ivor automatically shares his work from his WP blog where I copy/paste some of my work.

    Here is an additional fact about Tumblr: Automattic (WordPress’s parent company) bought Tumblr from Verizon back in 2019.

    Tumblr has been around for a very long time; I knew of its existence but was never a fan of it (Microblogging is not my kind of thing).

    1. Thanks for your input, Gerard, and I remember reading something about Automattic’s acquisition of Tumblr. Seems the information I read is outdated even though indicated in was updated September 2021. I’m not a fan of microblogging either, however, I find it entertaining because it is like a variety show offering a little bit of everything. With that said, WordPress is a much better platform for bloggers, IMO.

      1. 🤔 Eugenia, I have noticed that you gave me a new name ― Gerard. Are you using a smartphone for blogging? Spellcheck has a mind of its own on smartphones; it will alter the spelling of words without your permission.

        By the way, I am not offended; I merely noticed that I was referred to by another name.

        I also agree that WordPress is a better platform for bloggers.
