the eve of all eves
sleigh bells jingle happy tunes
reindeer take notice
Santa’s crew at work
beckoning reindeer and elves
readying the sleigh
stars twinkle brightly
carolers sing songs of joy
and holiday cheer
reunions brew as
kindred souls share blissful thoughts
by a cozy fire
elves got the memo
listed are naughty and nice
an eve of laughter
gifts favored with love
Christmas stockings hung with care
festive selfies with
a Christmas tree
Gingerbread and candy canes
2 cups love plus one cup of hugs
3 cups kisses 2 cups grins
2 cups of Christmas giving
ring-a-lings and bows and things
superbly lovely
Merry Christmas to all
and to all, a jolly, ho ho
