A new year is nearing and there is plenty to keep us busy. I am sharing some worthy events and their sponsors.
New Year, New Success with Bloganuary sponsored by WordPress
We’re running a month-long blogging challenge in January and we invite you to join us! Each day, you’ll receive a new writing prompt to inspire you to publish a post on your blog. There is no right or wrong way to respond to the prompts. Take this opportunity to exercise your creativity and have fun. Maybe you’ll choose to respond with a story, a drawing, a poem, a photo, a comic strip, a recipe, or even a playlist. Anything goes! – WordPress
Brave & Reckless’s Creativity Prompt Challenge: Great Reads sponsored by Brave & Reckless Blog
This months prompts are drawn from the books on NPR’s most recent list of Great Reads. Sometimes it was the title that drew my eye (how could I resist the creative lure of The Book of Difficult Fruit?!), sometimes it was the book description (All That She Carried, for example). This month I hope to accomplish two goals: to inspire your creatively and to encourage you to add at least one of these titles to your reading list for the upcoming year. – Brave & Reckless Blog
The #TankaTuesday 2022 Poetry Challenge Schedule – sponsored by Colleen Cheseboro at Word Craft: Prose & Poetry
Our first #TankaTuesday post will be January 4, 2022.
After careful consideration of all your wonderful prompt suggestions, I’ve compiled the weekly challenge prompts for 2022. Feel free to copy the prompt images from this page to use on your own blogs, if you wish. Please do not use the prompt images from prior year’s challenges as they do not reflect the current information. – Colleen Cheseboro

It’s a very friendly place filled with warm, talented and inspiring people. The Go Dog Go Café is accessible to anyone who wants to be part of building a healthy and supportive writing community. – Go Dog Go Cafe
Here are some of the current activities at the cafe –

There are many other bloggers that offer daily, weekly, and monthly prompts. Besides my weekly prompt at Eugi’s Causerie, here are a few that I am familiar with to spark our creativity. For example, What do you see, Reena’s Xploration Challenge, Your Daily Word Prompt, dVerse Poets Pub, Carrot Ranch Literary Community, RonovanWrites, Mindlovesmisery’s Menagerie’s, Sammi Cox Weekend Writing Prompt, Word of the Day Challenge, and many more.
So, let’s get creative and ready ourselves for some great writing!

Eugenia,
Thanks for sharing these sites and ways to get creative in the new year. I’m sure I’ll find these places of great benefit and I plan to check some of these out. The last couple of months I’ve been particularly busy so I’m starting feel a little burn out coming on even though I’ve taken a few breaks during this time. I think I just have too much on my plate all the time and mentally I can’t shut things off so my brain to reset itself most of the time, thus making me a wee bit reluctant to continue doing anything. We all get like this at times. I will find my groove and this will pass. I just need to remind myself to not stress and to just have fun with it all. Have a blessed new year, dear friend!

I understand as I put too much on my plate with good intentions and then feel overwhelmed. I just take it day by day and enjoy the ride. I admire those that consistently post every day and sometimes more than one post a day but that’s not for me. I need a day to regroup every now and then. Take it easy and enjoy the oncoming new year.
