Emojiland 😉 – #Bloganuary 2022 – Day 12

World emoji day is celebrated on July 17. I can’t imagine life without these little digital icons that help us express our emotions.

Our fun little digital icons😁 are a great way for us to express our emotions, whether happy 🤣 sad 😢 angry 😠confused 🧐hot 🥵cold 🥶celebrating 🥳tired 🥱showing pet love 🐶 🐱enjoying or not enjoying the weather 🌞🌦⛈☃️getting into nature 🌵🌳 🌴🌸 🌼and, of course, food 🍉 🍇 🍓🍳 🧈 🥞🍩 🍪and beverages ☕️ 🍵🍻 🥂 🍷. Oh, and there are activities and sports  ⛳️ 🪁travel and places 🚂🛤 🛣 and music 🎷 🎺 🪗.

And most important are the symbols showing love – passion and romance ❤️lighthearted love 🧡cordial love and purity of heart 💛closeness to nature or a jealous heart 💚faithful and loyal 💙understanding and compassion 💜dark and twisted sense of humor 🖤international symbol of love and compassion 🤍love for and closeness to the environment 🤎broken heart 💔heavy heart❣️.

Emojis are fun and have become a language of their own. Don’t know what to say, no problem. 😉

Today’s a great day to blog, and the Bloganuary prompt is:

What emoji(s) do you like to use? 😊😘😎🤩😻🌞✨☕️🍷💖

  1. I don’t use many and am not a huge fan. Don’t get me wrong, well placed emojis are just right, but sometimes some writers use way too many, l see them scattered throughout posts and comments and just smack my head with my palm most times and think to myself would you be using this kind of emotion in a real life conversation??

Can you actually imagine taling to someone in real time that was going through all of these emotions in one conversation?? You would go insane listening and watching them.

I use very few here in WP 😦 for sadness and 🙂 for smiles. On my Ipad l use thumbs up and ok.

    They just drive me insane.

    1. Too many are too many, Rory! I agree overuse of emojis is annoying and can be distracting. I very rarely use them in my content but I like to use them in my comments depending on who is on the other side of the discussion.

I had fun using emojis for today’s WP Bloganuary prompt but otherwise it would make me wacky to use them in my normal content. 🤪

  2. I think comments use is fine – it’s when l see an abundance of them in actual posts and l think REALLY?? But in comments l think they can at times soften the text, wbhich otherwise might seem harsh.
