I’ve seen fox and coyote…in my neighborhood, but no wolves. Though there is a sort of local ‘Family-owned wolf refuge with guided tours, including a once-a-month Full Moon night event.’ – I haven’t been to one of those full moon nights!
I used to see fox and coyote when we lived in Florida but never a wolf. There used to be a red fox that would hang out in our gated community when I lived in Hollywood, Fl. It was a very friendly fox and the community adopted it.
We actually had a bear cub in the local city a few years ago… It was captured and taken back to where it could grow. But it was also tagged.
I feel bad for animals that stray out of their natural habitat. It must be scary for them.
I like this haiku very much! No wolves in my neighborhood either, just coyotes.
Thank you, Liz!
