I am not
on the same page
with mom nature.
My wish for
a bluebird day
sparked guffaws, and
my references thought
as tomfoolery.
I feel frozen
and vulnerable to a
chilled wind as
mom nature dresses
and undresses my limbs
at her convenience,
not mine.
It’ll take a
blizzard of thoughts
and a forest without trees
for her to see
her lack of
fashion sense.
Today’s a great day to blog, and the Bloganuary prompt is:
Describe yourself as a tree. If I were a tree I would like to be a tall Red Maple, with scarlet red leaves. I would be dressed to the max in my glorious fall wardrobe.

As a visual color-play – nice, but then it is like four seasons in one plate?!

I think it is a gorgeous photo. It does seem to encompass the four seasons.

If I was only a tree, the Palm tree will bend and sway with the wind and survive, not stubborn and ridged to fall, however a human should stand for their with beliefs with God’s grace, be stubborn for Truth.

We are almost done this challenge. I think the prompts got harder as the month progressed. But you aced them all!

Thank you and yes, I agree the prompts got harder. I decided to respond to the prompts in my own way as long as it was relative to the subject.

Love this light-hearted look at the cold weather. The first freeze in ten years around here damaged my beloved red-flowering Mandevilla vine. I think after cutting back, it will be OK. Stay warm, Eugenia! spring is just around the corner! 🙂

The weather is crazy, Cheryl, and I am sorry to hear about your Mandevilla vine. Hearty plants and trees usually make a come back in the spring. Yes, spring is just around the corner and I am ready. 🌸

If I were a tree, I think I’d be dressed in light greens to gently chase away spring’s cool days while feeling light and lively. 🙂
