the earth embraces peace
as souls bask in her warmth
and flourish in her hearth
from long ago
no stones are left unturned
as spirits seek the truth
in eternal pursuits
Gaia aglow
#TankaTuesday 2/8/22 #Poetry Challenge No. 260, #SpecificForm: Abhanga
My poem is in response to Colleen’s#TankaTuesday 2/8/22 #Poetry Challenge No. 260, #SpecificForm: Abhanga. Abhanga is a form commonly used for devotional poetic composition although it has also been used for cynicism, satire and reflective moods.
Abhanga in any number of 4-line stanzas with 6-6-6-4 syllables each. L2 and L3 rhyme. The end rhyme scheme is abbc. It is customary to title your poetry.

With a Psychology degree I tend to be TOO observant IRL. My friends can not pull the wool over my eyes!! 😉

Having a Psychology degree probably gave you abilities to be a keen observer, BellaSita. I feel that’s very beneficial to get through life. 😎Purrs to BellaDharma! 😺

You’re welcome, Franci. By the way, I opened a free blog to try the new editor version and the new 2022 theme. What theme? There is nothing there. You can only select a few options. This is going to be terrible. Blogging themes as we know them will go away. I’m not very happy about this. Will we be forced to use their rotten (non)themes? What have you heard?

I was looking forward to the 2022 theme, however, like you very disappointed. I feel there should be more options in themes and WP is heading in the wrong direction. I haven’t heard anything in a while but will let you know when I do. Even though it was tedious, I am glad I went self-hosted. There are tons of cool themes. And my new blog I was lucky I found a halfway decent theme for it.

Thanks, Franci. I’m thinking about my next steps. From what I’m reading, the themes will become obsolete. I want a theme that looks decent. What the heck were they thinking? With two blogs this could get expensive. ❤️

I read that, as well, Colleen! The cost of Blue Host and the add-ons is less than WP’s Business theme. My other blog is on the Premium plan. My cost for both blogs is less than the Business plan. I was lucky to find a WP.org theme that is free (even their pro version is free). If you decide to self-host, you probably would like it. You can do anything and everything with it, and their customer service is stellar.

I need to get serious about this I think. What a mess! Thanks, Franci. ❤️
