Out there

in a universe so vast

there exists our role

what part we play

from day to day

created the past

defines the present

and births the future

given only one chance

to take the stage

we must partake or

forever seal our fate

to succumb to

the dreaded black hole,

mysterious and dense,

displays little sense

bar those who never grow old

omit those that can’t be told  

their hollow soul has been sold
