spring time treats tweets from feathered friends
My poem is a Piku, a genre of poetry for Pi Day. Similar to a haiku but shorter syllables 3/1/4 to commemorate Pi Day. The Piku is supposed to be nerdy or geeky but I opted for springy.
Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. Pi Day is an annual opportunity for math enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk to their friends about math, and eat pie.

I like those kinds of spring treats. 🙂 I got some of that on Friday before Old Man Winter rolled in overnight. I’ll be happy for the spring-like weather’s return today.
