Aging and Happy Birthday to Me – June 17th, 19??✨

While sipping my second cup of coffee, its robustness stirs my thoughts into caffeinated inquiries and what I think about growing older. Something about fresh-washed mornings with shimmering dew, take me to a place and time I’ve been before. I not only let the “simpler times” feeling flow through me like a fresh mountain breeze, but I also inhale it. Options present themselves in life’s every nook and cranny, even those covered in dusty layers of yesteryear feel the warmth of the sun through the window of opportunity.

Same with aging, the options are simple and straightforward. One can become enlightened, genuine and commonsensical, inquisitive, and optimistic, and let age-flawed mindsets be bygones. Or one may become socially difficult and unsympathetic choosing a lonely and unreliable path. In my opinion, graciousness is the utmost descriptive one can receive. Tagged with such is an acclaimed gift from all walks of life. I yearn to keep the golden years golden.

takes me to where I once was

scents of yesteryear

beyond white picket fences

pies cool on the window sill
