betraying changes

the dark side of the moon thrives

  1. Any finality reminds me of things that cannot change.
The darkness of the mind that fades into, perhaps nothing.
Or perhaps something so new that just can’t be comprehended by simple human minds…

I was watching the show Orville (sci fi) and there was an option for the ‘Robot’ Issac to get emotion…but his particular model couldn’t handle it. He could get it if he were retrofitted but all his other memory would have destroyed. Ultimately, the person who had fallen in love with him… chose not to have him loose his memories, even if he couldn’t have emotion, because that was who she had fallen in love with.

    1. Thought-provoking and well-taken comment. I feel finality and darkness is subject to each individual’s perspective. True, some things can not be comprehended by simple human minds, yet the brain is very complex. We see only what we want to see?

      1. ….kind of like how the mind fills in lines that aren’t there. Makes police witnesses hard to trust. Not that I want ‘Big Brother’ Cameras everywhere… but the eye and mind will change with opinion of the person. Actually sight and recall needs to be taught.
