out of nowhere
awaits shaded,
visions, for those
with fairish perception,
purged of fakery and
symbolic falsehoods.
my chapters in
history tout no
shadows but my own
even my jaded version
a bronzed patina.
more comforting times
than present express
stanzas of times in
seasons –
times to embrace
times for refrain
times to purpose
peace as we stand
on the edge of time
turn, turn, turn

The Saturday Symphony #32 #SeptemberEdition #Comfort Music
Prompt – This month, share some of your comfort music, when and how it comforts you.
Turn! Turn! Turn!
To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time for every purpose, under Heaven
A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep
To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time for every purpose, under Heaven
A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together
To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time for every purpose, under Heaven
A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing
To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time for every purpose, under Heaven
A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time for peace, I swear it’s not too late

I absolutely love this song! I was 5 years young in 65′ but recall the song later in the 60s with family in northern lower Michigan. Sweet memories. Thanks for this. ❤️

A glorious photograph; a most meaningful poem; an excellent version which I had not heard of a song so valid today

I’ve not done this prompt yet… but I recognized the song (and biblical verse) reference.
As we age we are well aquainted with seasonal seasoning 🙂

And, we become as we age we become seasoned, as well. More accomplished and adept.

One thing I’ve learned is to say ‘no’ when I don’t want to do something. If someone asks would you like to… ? No should be an accepted answer too. Though more often than not the person asking is upset that you won’t do their bequest/request.
