but silently the
crows caw-
atop wires miles high
listen do you hear
the whining the tears
days turn into nights
see all know all crows
listen you must hear
the gossip in the wire
calls for kindness near
why doesn’t the phone ring stop?
I’ve pressed all the buttons.
I’m still on the line

I have a thing about crows—both love and hate them.

Thank you, July! I like crows and find them most interesting. IMO, they are great topics for writing poetry.

Yes they certainly are. I’ve written several about them, plus a couple of short stories—one I posted to my blog not long back.

A few years back we changed our phone company. It was a small trial at the beginning, but after fixing the ‘bugs’ it is well worth the discount from the big name high priced service. Cell phone is a back up… but with everything electric if you aren’t off the grid…
Also it is hard to communicate with folks who have their own agenda and won’t let you get a word in edgewise 😉

Your last sentence speaks volumes! Sometimes you have to walk away from the situation if possible!
