Coffee Chat Q&A – Nov. 20, 2022

taken many a long hiatus

hither and yon

here and there

Blue Ridge Mountains, Helen, Ga

London, and The Big Apple, too

spent many a week being away, whoo-hoo

ah, books in a nook, Barnes & Noble

hey, they had a Starbucks!

The Desiderata of Happiness – by Max Ehrmann

WordPress stats – meh

been through nuke threats before

used to hide under our school desks – Yikes!

let common sense and some help from above prevail

oh, the seventies – rock on

“Those were the days, my friend

We thought they’d never end

We’d sing and dance forever and a day

We’d live the life we choose

We’d fight and never lose

For we were young and sure to have our way

La la la la…” *

not much of a need for coats in The Sunshine State of Florida

but traveled North a lot, even to Alaska

many coats later, my fave is my long black leather coat

I love to learn and research,

even at my age one can teach an old dog new tricks, LOL

more comfortable with my inner self but not with the world

didja know the world is a human construct controlled by mankind, however, mankind can’t control the earth. Mom nature’s karma is not to be reckoned with.

Never kept a diary or journal about my life. TMI and no regrets.

yes to Eggplant/Aubergine/Guinea Squash, but not a frequent dweller on my plate.

oh, swoon! Dirty Dancing my fave next to A Hard Day’s Night

being a rock and roll fan, been to many a concert. Also, I took in several Broadway shows. Don’t care for crowds anymore but would love to see Paul McCartney again and leaning toward country music, Toby Keith.

my teenage self would say Hey, you go girl!

bloggers that leave their links in my comments requesting I follow them! Don’t do it! I delete them.

Bye, bye now and make it a great day!

Mary Hopkin‘s 1968 debut single of “Those Were the Days”, which was produced by Paul McCartney of the Beatles, and arranged by Richard Hewson, became a number one hit on the UK Singles Chart and on the Canadian RPM Magazine charts. The song also reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100, behind “Hey Jude” by the Beatles. It was number one in the first edition of the French National Hit Parade launched by the Centre d’Information et de Documentation du Disque.[3] The song was featured on her debut album Post Card.

  1. It is a good thing to have lived through some things and to now be comfortable with the self. I’m opting to do more to keep healthy… you know over that hill but still have a heart beating to my own drum.

All we can truly do is to be honest with ourselves… And ignore the mirrors or embrace them – Cheers to living a good life!

    1. Not all of my life was peaches and cream but the good parts outweigh the bad parts. I prefer to dwell on the good and not the bad. You know the old saying – if I knew I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself. 😉

      1. 😉
Dark sides bring forth some creative juices too!
Annual doc visit brought up a new challenge… I might have to deal with. But after looking it up some diet change maybe all that is needed. I’ll find out more next week or month… 🙂
