Rise up from the pits

as voices retreat

last lamentations linger

inside-outs of life prevail

yet in darkness light exists

beyond negativity

let it shine, let it be there

Reena’s Xploration Challenge #258

It’s so tough to remain positive at times. A word that is constantly gnawing my insides, staring back at me from every wall I encounter is

CESSPOOL

I choose this as the prompt word for this week.

Your piece need not be pessimistic or negative. You can show how someone manages to stir it, emerge victorious from it or expose the filth inside. It should ideally be your first reflection on the word – whatever comes to mind.

  1. Uplifting words! You are such a positive person. That is something that seems to be diminishing in this world. Your perspectives are needed…and heeded.

“I crawled out from the depths,
