Earthly Comforts Question Time Over Coffee
You have a dinner party and may invite four guests from the following categories one fictional, one dead and one alive, and a naked chef [wearing an apron only but no clothes underneath – or if you wish for whatever reason your chef can be wearing underclothes – pants/top]. Who will you invite to eat, and who will you ask to cook for your dinner party? Inspired by I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! |

I just read about a woman who refused to go to her parents holiday dinner because (even though she was an adult and had asked to be treated like one) her parents used her as a free babysiter for all the relatives children. Then the Mother had the nerve to say the daughter was ruining the holiday?
As a host of any gathering you get to make the rules. And they should to the best effort of the guests be respected. And that should mean taking care of your own children. Esh!

Oh, my! Family gatherings can go terribly wrong sometimes. I’ve been to a few where the children were unruly. Seems common sense is lacking more so these days.

If only common sense were more abundant.
Hubby has stories of his days as the youngest of the cousins and getting picked on – wasn’t until his parents said “You know what to do with bullies…” that the other parents at the gatherings broke up the situation so their little ‘darlings’ wouldn’t get hurt.
