morning motivation
a cuppa joe
don’t wanna be a slo-mo
Lackadaisical flibbertigibbets go on and on with their gobbledygook. Their argle-bargle is usually pointless causing much hullabaloo. It’s bumfuzzling they don’t feel it should be eeksie-peeksie for all of us. The boring blatherskites would rather share taradiddle stories than the truth. I say send the mollycoddled bunch to the hoosegow.
comments are sometimes as enjoyable as the read, IMO
friends come and go sadly
last couple of years treated us badly
OMG! emails begone – triple digits with 3 email accounts
distractions – best speak loud and clear my dear
I can tune you in or tune you out
strange encounters no and hope they remain a no-show
no boogie man here day or night, but
then there’s Callie, our acrobat cat! crash, bump, zowie
a compelling beginning, interesting middle, and a resounding ending are bestseller ingredients, IMHO. Nope, cos no interest in writing a book
all-night marathon – danced the night away many moons ago
“All we need is music, sweet music
There’ll be music everywhere
They’ll be swinging, swaying, records playing
Dancing in the street”*
my 18-year-old me would recognize today’s me, myself, and I most likely
any improvements over the last 2 years are welcome – peace to the people
curiosity discovers and passion dedicates one to the task – tis me
flaws?! – yes, in time and hopefully not too late
Traveling Wilburys, ‘Traveling Wilburys Volume 1′ – most of my fave albums were more than 20 years ago
Catch you on the flip😀
Earthly Comforts Question Time Over Coffee
What motivates you to get up every day?
What words have always struck you as funny or odd when looked upon?
How often do you read the comments left by other bloggers on other bloggers’ published posts?
How hard do you work to keep your long standing friendships alive year in and year out and do your friends work the same way to keep you?
How many emails do you delete every week?
Are you easily distracted, and what do you find distracts you the most?
Have you ever had a strange unexplained encounter that left you shaken and baffled and if so, what do you think it was? Or what did your brain make you think it was?
Are we more scared of things that go bump in the night when in the dark or equally as concerned if the same thing happens during daylight hours? If so, why do you think that is?
What do you think are the magical ingredients for writing a bestseller and do you think you could write one?
When was the last time you stayed awake all night having fun with another person, and what were you doing?
Would the 18 year old you recognise the older you if you both collided on the street today? If not, why?
What are you most looking forward to in 2023?
Are you more curious or are you more passionate, or are you both?
Can you easily recognise your flaws, and do you think it is important?
The musical album you loved the most in the last twenty years was… ?

*Dancing in the Street – “The song first got popular by a version of Martha and the Vandellas in 1964.
Bowie and Jagger recorded a cover of this in 1985 to raise money for the Live Aid famine relief cause.
Such a fun play on words! I would of course recognise myself on the street! 😂

I enjoyed reading this! Unorthodox and obtuse. Stimulating and titillating! Audacious and bodacious. Outlandish and resplendently auspicious!

I don’t know if I would recognize myself on the street or not. Sometimes I am not sure it’s me I see in the mirror.🤨

Besides looking older, I haven’t changed much except for a different hairstyle and color.

Hey Eugenia, some fun corkers in here today – or should l simply respond with zappy powie and zowie whappy – tis good stuff al’t’ same 🙂
I hear ya on the emails – although l don’t read any of the ones from WP in my inbox they are simply deleted themoment they come in and l read direct from the blogs only.

My WP emails are notifications of a new post or comment and take me directly to WP once I open the email. Then I delete the email. We have 4 email accounts but use only 3. We get tons of spam.

Because l use a fixed reading list within the blog itself and don’t read everyone daily l don’t look at every post that comes in via the email. I would go insane if l did. But also l think if a lot of people read only from the email then what is the point to having a blog?
Yes, l know that’s not what you do, but many people do exactly just that, ur baffles me.

Life can spin us unless we spin life first!
I’m glad to not be 18 and wouldn’t go back if I could.
May the new year help us help ourselves and others 💕

So true about life’s spin and I definitely would not want to be 18 again. 40 is a good number.
Your last sentence is a winner! 💖

65 is a good number too 😉
Sometimes I try and figure out how old my grandparents were when I was a child. I remember when one set moved away to Florida when we were all still up north. So hard to only see them once a year… way before cell phones and computers.
Lucky that our own children and grands are close… enough. 😉
