as our voices rise

a wavelength of despair

hums of burdens thrust

mankind ungathered

tranced in hypnotic ideation

woeful eyes swell with tears

the last stanza sung –

soul-to-soul self-seeking

crow with the dawn

rejoice in truths of

love and kindness

as our voices rise

wedded are we unconsumed

from sunrise to sunset

What do you see # 177 – 13 March, 2023

“ Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy or boast. It’s not proud, rude, or self-seeking. It is not easily angered and keeps no record of past mistakes. It does not delight in evil. It rejoices in the truth”

Eugenia, your lovely poem reminds us of the passing of time, and the concluding lines are somehow so satisfying. Each new day arrives with its promise and opportunities. <3

  9. If only, it’s true, that the sunrise can, bring about that needed change for a brand new day in this world, but, it, really, doesn’t, because, we humans are, too set in our ways, and we refuse, to, change…but, we can, still, hope, so…

    1. Yes, sometimes we don’t appreciate the beauty around us because we are too busy with ourselves.
