Moonwashed Weekly Prompt Wrap-up – Flamboyant

I am adding something new to The Limelighters Wrap-up. I will select one or two contributions from the week’s entries to feature.

I understand not many have the time to sift through links and feel showcasing one or two entries will bring well-deserved attention to the author. Note, this is not intended to be a contest but to give credit to where it’s duel

This week my choice is by Reena Saxena:

don’t take off
the flamboyant coat
it will take
you on roads
to success and joys remote
let you ride with glee

all that you
thought was beyond reach
show only
what you want
conceal the jittery nerves
enjoy the limelight

  1. Great piece by Reena. Is limelighters the same as the moonwashed challenge?

    1. The Limelighters is the wrap-up for Moonwashed Weekly Prompt. I post the wrap-up on the Monday a week after the prompt post. The actual Moonwashed prompt is posted on Tuesday.💕

  2. Amazing selection of poems.

    1. Thank you! 💕 There is an abundance of talent on WordPress, indeed.

  3. A white peacock – cool! Nice poem to go with the picture prompt, too. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving, Eugi! xo

    1. Thank you, Cathy! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. 💕

  4. Lovely peacock… I have an image of a white peacock from Florida…
in the privately owned park where Ponce de Lion found the fountain of youth!
They also had peacocks of color! 🙂

There is also a resturant I like to eat at that has both colorful and albino peacocks in the poster/painting. 🙂

    🙂

    1. Thank you, Jules. Peacocks are gorgeous, and they have a very
loud, shrill cry, especially during mating season. I used to see them frequently when I lived in Florida. They can be extremely noisy.

      1. I think there is a story of their beauty and why they screech. You can’t have both…

Which reminds me of some of the ‘movie’ stars that have had ‘work’ done…. not beautiful in my eyes. I just don’t get the commercials geared at the 30 somethings to get face lifts or botox…

        1. Ageing naturally is best, IMO. Plastic surgery is just that – plastic.

          1. I remember my grandmothers faces… lined with a life well lived. That’s how I want my face to end up!!

  5. Loved Reena’s poem and great prompt as always. Enjoyed quite a few of the responses over the last few days.

    1. Thank you, Pooja! 💕

      1. You’re very welcome!💖

  6. I like your new system. This one is a gem

    1. Thank you, Derrick. The purpose of the wrap-up is to feature
works of others and posting just links seems impersonal.

  7. Nice choice, Eugi. Thanks for the mention, dear.

    1. Thank you, Indira! 💕

  8. Nice one to wrap it up, thanks for the mention, Eugi.

  9. Nice choice, Eugenia! Thanks for the mention too. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Susi, and you’re welcome.

  10. Can’t thank you enough. Much appreciated.

    1. You’re most welcome, Reena!

  11. Thanks Eugi for the mention

    1. My pleasure, Sadje.
